Lesedi-Lechabile MEP will be writing history by offering a male circumcision service to males in and around the community of Matjhabeng. The programme will be piloting the service on 240 men between the ages of 15 and 29 who have tested HIV-negative. We will be partnering with a urologist offering his services to the programme, and conducting group discussions with men on men’s health. The first 20 clients will be circumcised on 6 April 2010. Already, there are about 160 men on the waiting list – which just goes to show the interest in, and eagerness about, the service.
